Connections



How does viewing this text through a child’s perspective change the way we experience it?
Explain using an example from the text.
We can see from the movie that children are portrayed as naive and oblivious of the world. We can see this in the text by how Jojo was portrayed as a pro-antisemite and was blinded by the propaganda.

How would this text be different if it were told from the perspective of an adult? How would the audience’s experience be different?

The story will probably feel heavy-hearted and serious. but because the story is filmed from a child's perspective the story became light-hearted

Why did the filmmaker or author decide to tell this story from a child’s perspective?

The director might want to make the film feel light heated and wanted to create a light atmosphere in the movie

How are children represented in the text? How are adults represented in the text?

Children are represented as warheads and baits and they are forced to learn the regime

Does imagination help the young hero to cope? How so? Provide an example.
We can see how Jojo created his own imagination to cover up the real cruelness of the real world
